Re-Stucco in San Diego
A new finish that won't peel, fade or need paint.
Traditional cement stucco, applied by journeymen
After sandblasting, our crew scrapes off any loose edges, applies an acrylic bonder to every wall, seals cracks and then re-stuccoes the house in the texture and color you picked. Depending on the texture, the finish is troweled on in one or two coats.
Cement stucco is colored with iron-oxide pigments, the same minerals that color red brick and clay roof tile. It fades only about 1 to 3% in 20 years, while most paint fades far more in five to eight. It also carries a one-hour fire rating.

Re-Stucco questions
Does stucco fade?
Very little. Integrally colored cement stucco fades about 1 to 3% over 20 years. That's why it doesn't need painting.
Why do small cracks appear?
As stucco cures it shrinks slightly, which can cause fine "check cracking." Some check cracking is normal, especially in hot, dry weather.
How do I take care of it?
Wash it with water about twice a year, keep sprinklers from spraying the walls, and keep weed trimmers away from the base of the wall.
Can I see textures before I choose?
Yes. Our estimator brings color charts, and you can see textures and colors in our Spring Valley showroom by appointment.
